Topic: Dental implants: A popular delicate tool
Dental implants are a diffuse and routine treatment that more and more clinicians involve in their treatments. Despite their frequent use, little is known about their disease. What is known is that peri-implant disease is a growing burden of the exponential implant diffusion in dentistry. The goal of this lecture is to give an insight on implant diseases, on how to diagnose them and decide, to treat or refer them to a specialist.
The first part will focus on implants ideal placement, healing phases and maintenance regime. The second part will deal with implant diseases, their diagnosis and different options for treatment. Up-to-date and fundamental classic literature will be followed by clinical cases and their treatment.
