Speaker Bio:
Dr. Alcalde is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He obtained his dental degree at Universidad Central de Venezuela and his PhD at Okayama University, Japan. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Washington, Seattle where he worked as a full-time faculty prior to moving to Miami twenty years ago.
He specializes in the treatment of patients with surgical-orthodontic needs, dentoalveolar surgery and dental implants. He is also a reviewer of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, lectures at national and international level and has made numerous contributions to surgical textbooks and scientific journals.
