The ADA Center for Professional Success 
The Center, located at www.Success.ADA.org, is a one-stop shop for dentists who are seeking resources that will help them succeed as dental practitioners and small business owners. This new ADA member benefit will help dentists find solutions to professional and personal challenges. The website includes everything from tips for choosing a career path to balancing personal and professional lives to planning for retirement.

The ADA Library is a member only benefit that offers a wide range of helpful resources and informative media with a full-text database of systematic reviews, clinical trials and other research on evidence based dentistry and medicine. Contingency Support: A full or partial waiver is available to a member in good standing whose circumstances have resulted in a significant financial hardship—including disability, catastrophe, parental leave or medical illness. Charitable organization practitioners may also apply for a full national dues waiver if they are earning a subsistence income.

Retired Status: Retired Membership is available to an active member in good standing who has been an active member and is now a retired member of a constituent society, if such exists, and is no longer earning an income from the performance of service as a member of the faculty of a dental school, as a dental administrator or consultant, or as a practitioner of any activity for which a license to practice dentistry or dental hygiene is required by the state.

Life Membership: Life members are those members who have been a member for thirty (30) consecutive years or forty (40) total years and are age sixty-five (65) years or older. Members must meet both of the requirements in order to qualify for life membership status. Life members are notified by mail when they have been elected to Life membership in the ADA.

Retired Life Membership: Retired Life members are active members who are retired from a constituent society and are no longer earning any income from private practice, employment as faculty of a dental school, as a dental administrator or consultant, or any activity in which a license to practice dentistry is required and meet the age and membership years requirement for life membership. To qualify for retired life membership, the member must complete the Affidavit for Retired Membership form and submit it for approval to the West Coast District Dental Association.
